As the Liberals' throne speech is set for September 23, our Electoral District Association is in full swing preparing for the possibility of a snap election. Here are some important upcoming events.
Leadership Contest: Voting
You may have seen our last email reminding you of the GPC Leadership Contest to replace Elizabeth May. Voting takes place between September 26 to October 3. The winner will lead the Greens in the next election, so make sure to cast your (ranked) vote and have a say in the future of our Party!
Meet & Greet: Abhijeet Manay
On October 1, your Spadina-Fort York Greens are hosting a virtual meet and greet with Abhijeet Manay, Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Ontario. Please be on the lookout for our email next week with the full event details.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Lastly, we are holding our AGM on October 21. We will review last year’s accomplishments, elect a new executive group, plan for the upcoming year, and most importantly, nominate a federal candidate for our riding at the AGM. Meeting details will be shared in the coming weeks.
We are accepting candidates for the federal nomination. If you or anyone you know is interested in running as a federal candidate in Spadina-Fort York, please let me know. We will be circulating a list of candidates closer to the AGM. If you would like to contribute to our Electoral District Association in other ways, you could also volunteer or donate.
