You're Invited to Our Sustainable Business Roundtable!

As you may know, we held our annual general meeting last Wednesday. Thank you to those who were able to attend! We are thrilled to introduce the new executive board of our Electoral District Association:

  1. Chief Executive Officer - Bruce Van Dieten

  2. Financial Agent - Don Wesley

  3. Secretary / Administrative Chair - Vicky Bukta

  4. Volunteer / Membership Chair - Santiago Helou

  5. Youth Representative - Rachel Cote

  6. Member-at-Large - Amrita Pal

  7. Communications Chair - Annie Lee

  8. Fundraising Chair - Amanda Rosenstock

The board is very excited to drive the Green momentum forward! Our first order of business is to invite you to one of our many upcoming events, including our Sustainable Business Roundtable on Thursday, November 12 at 7pm.

We hope you can join us in a lively discussion with NUDNIKUnboxed Market and Greenvine Sustainable on how businesses can and should become more sustainable.

NUDNIK’s is a Toronto-based children’s clothing company whose products are made from fabrics that would otherwise be destined for landfill. Their clothing is not only zero-waste, but 100% organic and 100% compostable. NUDNIK’s co-founders and “twin-preneurs”, Lindsay and Alex Lorusso, became a household name in Canada after appearing on Season 14 of Dragon’s Den! Check out their pitch here:

Unboxed Market is Toronto’s first zero-waste market offering high quality foods, cleaning products, and many other household items without packaging.

Andrea Teslia of Greenvine Sustainable is a Toronto-based consultant who works with SME businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and increase their sustainability practices affordably.

Here is the link to our Facebook event. We’ll send you a reminder email with the Zoom details closer to the date.

We hope to see you on what will surely be an insightful evening! In the meantime, if you have any questions about the event or getting involved with the EDA, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time.

Stay well and hope to see you soon.

Cheers,

Bruce Van Dieten
